Representing the Italian–Costa Rican Chamber of Industry and Commerce (CICIC) in her capacity as President, Cristina Guerrini will join the closing panel “Growing Without Asking Permission” on October 29, exploring capital, expansion and succession from the perspective of women business leaders.
At Blue Zone Legal, we are proud to share that our CEO, Cristina Guerrini, will participate in the 8th edition of the Women’s Forum 2026, representing the Italian–Costa Rican Chamber of Industry and Commerce (CICIC) in her capacity as President.
The forum will be held on Thursday, October 29, at the Costa Rica Convention Center, under the theme “Leadership for a World That Has Changed.” Organized by Global Forums, it will bring together, across three simultaneous rooms, women who make decisions in business, politics, technology, sustainability, media, health, social impact and sports.
Growing without asking permission
Cristina will join the panel that closes Room 1, devoted to “Power, Capital and Decisions” and moderated by Nuria Marín, President of ALAS Costa Rica. From 12:05 to 12:45 p.m., she will share the stage with Andrea Becerra, General and Innovation Director at AROMAS, and Carla Quant, Founder of AZULO.
The conversation will focus on what happens after the early startup years, when the question is no longer how to survive but how to scale: what kind of capital fits each stage, how to professionalize a company, and what acquisitions, regional expansion and succession really involve.
“Growth is a decision you prepare for. Many women business owners reach the expansion stage with a strong product and a committed team, but without the structure, partners and markets that growth demands. Putting your house in order before opening the door is what allows you to grow with confidence,” says Cristina.
The CICIC Perspective
As President of CICIC, Cristina promotes trade, investment and business ties between Costa Rica and Italy. That experience allows her to bring a very concrete perspective to the forum on what companies need to enter new markets and find partners on the other side of the Atlantic.
“Costa Rica and Italy share a closeness that goes well beyond trade. At the Chamber, we work to turn it into concrete opportunities: companies that get to know each other, investments that materialize and professionals who find allies on the other side of the Atlantic,” she explains.
For Cristina, forums like this are also a chance to shift the conversation about women in leadership: “When a woman leads a company or an institution, the question should no longer be whether she belongs there, but what she needs to take that project further.”
